The Museum of Christian Art (MoCA), Goa has embarked on a major, exciting and prestigious project which will totally transform and upgrade the Museum to the latest World standards as well as vastly enhance visitor experience.

As part of the project, MoCA is collaborating with INTACH, New Delhi, to set up a conservation laboratory for the conservation of its unique collection.

MoCA is offering an internship in conservation (2 candidates)


Work Area:

Assisting in taking care of Museum objects/Conservation or restoration of Museum objects under the supervision of professional conservators from INTACH.


Who can apply?

Preference: Masters Degree in Art Conservation
Others: Graduate in Science/ History of Art/ Heritage Management/ Diploma or short-term course in Conservation/ Degree in Fine Arts

Desirable: Some experience in the field of conservation of Museum art objects.

How does the internship work?

The internship duration is of 6 months (Monday to Saturday) from 9.30 a.m to 5.00 p.m.
You will be given a stipend during the internship which covers your conveyance.
At the end of the internship, you will receive a work experience certificate.
A discretionary bond will be applicable on one candidate beyond the internship period.


Things to remember -

1) The internship is not a binding contract but an understanding of voluntary obligation between the Museum and the intern.
2) The Museum's decision on suitability of a prospective intern is absolute and final.
3) If selected for the internship, the intern is liable to follow the work hours and other rules and regulations of the Museum.
4) The Museum does not provide for any accommodation, especially if the prospective intern is from another city. The intern must make their own arrangement for stay.
